ABOUT ME:
With two decades of extensive experience in cybersecurity and counterintelligence, I offer a unique blend of practical field expertise and strategic leadership. My career commenced with an eight-year tenure as a Counterintelligence Agent in the U.S. Army, where I honed my skills in security operations and intelligence gathering. Subsequent to my military service, I acquired a four-year B.S. degree in Information Technology Security from Campbell University, further solidifying my technical acumen. My professional journey in the civilian sector began in program management, where I spent three and a half years enhancing the cybersecurity consulting division of a Managed Service Provider (MSP). Demonstrating adeptness in leadership and strategic oversight, I progressed to the role of Director of the Security Operations Center (SOC) within the same MSP for another three and a half years. This role enabled me to deepen my expertise in operational security and team management. Most recently, I served as a Senior Director of Cybersecurity Consulting for a startup specializing in Splunk User Behavior Analytics (UBA). In this role, I leveraged my multiple Splunk certifications, including the distinguished Certified Splunk Core Consultant, to deliver innovative security solutions and consultancy.
My approach to cybersecurity is driven by a passion for transforming strategic vision into tactical execution. I am recognized for consistently exceeding expectations and rapidly advancing to roles of increased responsibility. My propensity for challenging the status quo and insatiable curiosity have established me as a go-to problem solver. Colleagues and clients alike seek my expertise for resolving complex issues, underscoring my reputation as a dynamic and effective leader in the field of cybersecurity.
